EQUIPMENT (CAMERAS + LIGHTING)
We own a camera and lighting equipment shop, including world-class professional cameras, monitors, camera sets, and studio lamps. Supervised by the truly experienced specialists we employ, we polish up our skills and get the latest technical advancements, updating our pool of equipment available to the film crews. It includes: ARRI ALEXA Mini, RED Epic-W Helium 8K, RED Gemin and 5K, and Phantom Flex 2K. Furthermore, we have incandescent, discharge, and LED lamps.
DRESSING AND PROPS ROOM
A well-stocked props room is a place we keep our valuables for setting up the stage in our studio. On the 970 m2 of space we store over 15 thousand props from various decades and most distant nooks of the world. They let us, in no time, transform a piece of empty space into a most demanding set, be it a crowning hall of King Arthur or a cozy cabin under Alpine snow. And every production we deliver makes the props shop ever richer. Our stylists have more than 6 thousand sets of attire and accessories: clothing and footwear for any weather conditions and season, special dresses, thematic costumes, or look-alike accessories, such as a fake pregnant belly. The styling capacity is almost unlimited.
SOUND STUDIO
Our modern, spacious, 200 square meters audio studio has been built from scratch. It consists of two director’s booths and a live room. We are prepared to produce podcasts, record radio ads and sound for computer games, and our live room is often used for few-days long recording sessions of big bands. GPD Film Studio’s audio department does both in-house productions, postproduction, and sound recording at film sets. We handle tens of thousands audio jobs per year.
PHOTOGRAPHIC STUDIO
Our photo studio is 850 m2 of space used by our team of experienced photographers, producers, set designers, and stylists, including food stylists. We handle few hundred shoots per year. Our portfolio includes photo graphics for books. The equipment shop lets us organize 8 sessions a day and for selected projects we use a special system for automated workflow and creation of professional packshots or 360° graphics virtually in minutes. We have held photo shoots for both Polish and foreign stars. Our cameras have already seen such celebrities as Anna Guzik, Joanna Jędrzejczyk, Joanna Krupa, Dorota Wellman, Daria Ładocha, Kinga Paruzel, Karol Okrasa and Michel Moran.
POSTPRODUCTION
GPD Film Studio’s in-house teams in charge of editing, animation, and color editing are true professionals, up-to-date with the current requirements of film production market. The number of productions they successfully release keeps growing: in 2019 it was 2759, while in 2020 it reached as much as 2878! They take time (in 2020 it was as much as 25,723.58 hours!) to fine-tune the final result of the joint effort and make sure it is more than satisfactory.
CASTING
Our casting team works on a regular basis with dozens of modeling and acting agencies from Poland and Europe, which lets us serve customers from all over the world. Using special software called Mediasline, we maintain extensive face images databases. Continuous online scouting and organizing casting sessions help us keep growing the database of talents we directly work with. On an annual basis we hire about 3 thousand people, not to mention our four-legged stars. That makes it easy to deliver productions requiring extensive cast and dozens of extras. If required, our casting directors go on talent quests to find exactly who our clients need for the job.
LOCATIONS
We have over 140 privately-owned locations in our ever-growing database. So far we have delivered film productions shot in such places as glassworks, manors, chateaus, football stadium, military training ground, skateparks, dairy plant, tram, bus, underground, cave, and even in the premedieval settlement of Biskupin. If a particular place is needed, the we do not ponder if we can find it, we just check how quickly. Our portfolio covers productions shot not only in Poland but also in the US, Asia, India, Thailand, Germany, Spain, Czechia, Slovakia, and France. We haven’t been to Mars yet but is seems it is just a matter of time.
